Enjoy Subtle Designing With The HTC One M8 Silver
Since the launch of the HTC One M8 silver handsets, the device has been through a constant scrutiny and comparison against the last year’s superstar HTC One M7. The M7 came with the extremely sturdy inner processor, amazing display, camera and the chic metallic design that added the perfect touch to the device. It raised our expectations from the brand ever more and we are now a lot more hopeful about the M8.
What we need to find now is whether the newly launched M8 is able enough, to meet with the set standards of its predecessor. HTC claimed prior to this launch that the HTC One M8 is designed in accordance with the M7 and has a lot more in store to match up with the popular expectations. As per the stated specifications, the M8 has proportionately grown in its features and integrity, significantly beyond the previous M7.
Key Features:
Overview
Most of the HTC flagship models boast of their clean design sense. Since the last year, the brand has gathered considerable market appreciation by successfully launching its series of HTC One handsets. The M7 had been the most prominent, with its crowd fetching features and details. Treading on the similar path, the HTC One M8 silver to a great extent is inspired by the former M7. Some of the features that will continue to exist in the M8, include the sleek design sophistication, comprising of the smooth sloping back cover with a brush stroked kid of impression across the body, and the HTC BoomSound speaker grills. But now, the brand claims to have used even more metal components than its older sibling. Now, the device precisely carries 90 per cent of metal, while the M7 was built with 70 per cent metal.
That being said, we can get an image that now we are no longer going to find the hard plastic details, around the even larger display. The plastic has been replaced by the metal all over casing, sparing only the 5-inch screen. The silver metal shell bears a classy brushed texture and gradually gets rounded around the corner, giving a very exquisite appeal to the design. But, no matter what we feel about the look of this new device, its popularity depends entirely on the ultimate user. While some may find this change very exciting, others may continue to favor the older M7.
Design
As per the experts, the brushed texturing posed a great challenge to the design team of the HTC One M8. It was difficult to proffer a smooth and faultless texture without ruining the sloping design pattern. With a due amount of research and development, the device finally flaunts its uniquely created metallic silver chasses.
Specifications
While in an apparent view the HTC One M8 is really beautiful, some find it rather difficult to hold on to. The outer shell is pretty smooth and can be rightly termed as a bit slippery too. Plus, the larger 146.4 x 70.6 x 9.35 mm dimension adds to the discomfort, as the device tends fall off the grip at the slightest neglect. This requires us to be extra careful, while handling the device. Owing to its almost complete metal body and the increased length, the M8 weighs about 160g that is a bit heavier than the M7, which was about 143g approximately. The bulk does not come as a shock, considering the physical enhancements of the M8 over the older M7. While the hard metal body can be easily regarded as durable, the body of the M8 can acquire tiny scratches and damages if we are not careful enough. Within a very short while the device tends to lose its polish, if it is subjected to regular rough handling.
The internal modifications include the little hiked battery life, 5 mega pixel front camera with wide-angle lens, wider network support, increased 2.3GHz core speed, use of the nano SIM and the inbuilt updated versions of Android and HTC Sense.

Our Verdict
In most of its features and aspects, the M8 has advanced significantly from the M7. But, the slippery body makes the device kind of unsafe to carry. While we still miss the standard visual
